Module 4 - The Geodatabase

INTRODUCTION

We will be introducing the Geodatabase, what they are comprised of and the different types of geodatabases available at 9.3

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Define the geodatabase
  2. List the elements of the geodatabase
  3. Describe how the geodatabase is different that other spatial data formats in it's handling of 'real-world' behaviors
  4. What is an 'object' in a geodatabse?
  5. Describe a domain in depth
  6. Describe what domain split and merge policies are
  7. Describe a subtype
  8. Describe a feature class
  9. Describe an object class
  10. describe a feature dataset
